Up for sale is an absolutely perfect vintage golden amber footed mayonnaise bowl in the "Fairfax" pattern by Fostoria! Fostoria made their Fairfax pattern in 1927, and it was used for several of their most popular etched patterns (June, Trojan & Versailles are a few). Collectors of the etched patterns fill in their collections with plain pieces, and it's also quite popular with no etching. This mayo bowl is very versatile - it can be used for almost anything (including candy). It stands 2 3/4 inches high, and it measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter across the top. It's in immaculate condition - no chips, cracks, bites or other damage of any kind, and the glass is nice and shiny with no scratches, scuffs, or other marks whatsoever. The amber color is a gorgeous golden shade with just a touch of orangey tint. The Fairfax pattern can be seen photographed either in Gene Florence's "Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era", or in Coe's "Elegant Glass - Early, Depression & Beyond". The buyer will pay shipping (and insurance if desired). Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical. Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!! Be sure to see my other fantastic items by clicking on the link above!
