ORIGINAL WORLD WAR I & II JAPANESE ARISAKA BAYONET & SCABBARD
. (Inv. no. 0611) It is about 20 inches long with a 15 5/8 inch blade. This was for model 1897 (type 30) 1905 (Type39) 1939 (type 99) Arisaka rifle and carbine. It was the main Japanese type of bayonet from 1897 to the end of WWII. It is marked on the ricasso with the arsenal mark of Matsusnita Kinzoku. It is marked on the end of the pommel ?? 50279. The blade is in good to very good condition with some discoloration. It appears to have been sharpened. The scabbard has a dent but otherwise is in very good condition. This is outside my area of collecting and expertise and I have relied on references books and the internet. Please email any questions. Starting price is .95. Shipping weight is 2 pounds 8 ounces.
