    Description

    This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in combat civilian mountings.   The blade is signed "Noshu Seki ju Kanetoshi saku 濃州関住兼俊作" with 昭 inspection stamp,
    shinogi-zukuri
    shape, WWll time period ca. 1940 era made blade.
    Kanetoshi`s real name is Murayama Kinoichi, born in 1903, lived in Seki city, Gifu prefecture, made swords during WWll time period and after the war, listed in John Slough`s  page 70.     The blade is hand forged, in old full polish, no rust, no stain and in excellent condition.       The temper line is wavy

    (three cedar) temper and has deep temper at the point.      Forging grain is tight itame-hada, no opening, no blister and no forging flaws.    There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.       The scabbard is leather covered wood scabbard, no tear, no crack and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit with copper
