Fostoria Fairfax 2375 Azure/blue Gravy Boat and Underplate. The gravy boat is 7”x 3 3/4” and the matching oval underplate is 7 1/8 inches long. Both pieces have the beautiful optic panel design. This piece is relatively hard to find in great condition.
Fostoria 2375 Fairfax blank was manufactured from 1927 to 1943 and was used as a blank for several etching patterns.  It also became very popular as a clear (non-etched) pattern in several colors.  Fostoria also made beautiful stemware including 5099, 5098, 5097 and 6017 patterns, along with many complementing pieces in the same colors. These pretty pieces included candy dishes, candleholders, and centerpieces among others, all carefully designed to accent Fairfax place settings. See our other listings for many of these items.

Fostoria was one of the finest manufacturers of American elegant glass. They were in business from approximately 1925 to 1960. Most of the elegant glass was produced from 1925 to 1937 which makes these places around 80 years old.
