    A very faint Lincoln, Liberty and 1939-S
    Comments:
    This elongated Lincoln penny, is in really nice original condition. There is a darkly toned area on the small Bay Bridge support island. There is a hole to make it into a charm or key fob. The token has just slight rub on the high points, due to normal handling. It has not been cleaned and has nice overall color, with some luster.

    Golden Gate International Exposition
    (1939 and 1940), was held at San Francisco’s Treasure Island, was a World’s Fair celebrating the city's two newly built bridges. The “San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge” opened in 1936, and the “Golden Gate Bridge” in 1937. The exposition opened from February 18, 1939, through October 29, 1939, and from May 25, 1940, through September 29, 1940.
    Please note that this 1940 elongated penny token is slightly different from the common 1939-40 token design. This token has the Bay Bridge having a slightly different entry angle, the bridge and island are larger, “Treasure Island” is above the island, and a ship divides the two areas. This Golden Gate Int’l Expo token will make a great addition to either your world’s fair / exhibition, Lincoln penny or elongated coin collection.
